Premio IILA - FotoGrafia - Festival Internazionale di Roma - III edizione
Per il terzo anno consecutivo viene indetto Il Premio IILA-FotoGrafia, nell’ambito di FotoGrafia- Festival Internazionale di Roma, realizzato con la collaborazione del Centro Culturale BID (Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo).
Quest’anno il tema centrale è “La Natura” in relazione alla metropoli, un’esplorazione del valore della natura e della tensione che attorno a questa si sviluppa nelle grandi città. L’opera del vincitore della II edizione, il panamense José Manuel Castrellón, sarà esposta all’interno di FotoGrafia, all’ex Mattatoio di Testaccio.
Una selezione dei migliori lavori ricevuti nel 2010 verrà presentata all’IILA con una mostra che si inaugurerà il 24 settembre, e successivamente, al Centro Culturale BID a Washington. Tra questi si selezionerà un vincitore assoluto, che si aggiudicherà un premio-soggiorno di un mese a Roma a partire dal 20 settembre. Durante questa residenza il vincitore svilupperà un progetto fotografico dedicato alla città di Roma.

The IILA-FotoGrafia Prize, Third Edition
The IILA-FotoGrafia international photography prize, organized as part of FotoGrafia, the Rome International Festival, with the cooperation of the Cultural Centre of the IDB, the Inter-American Development Bank, enters its third year in 2010.
This time, the central theme is Nature as it relates to the metropolis, an exploration of Nature’s value and the tension that develops around it in large cities. The work of the winner of the second edition of the IILA-FotoGrafia Prize, José Manuel Castrellón of Panama, will be showing during FotoGrafia on show at the ex-Mattatoio exhibition space in Testaccio.
A selection of the best work received in 2010 will be on show at an exhibition to be inaugurated at IILA on September 24. The exhibition will subsequently move to the IDB Cultural Centre in Washington. The overall winner of the prize will be selected from among the works chosen for the exhibition and will be awarded a month-long stay in Rome beginning on September 20. During the stay, he or she will develop a photographic project on the city of Rome.
